#10 Baltic Sea adventure around the island of Rügen with the yacht "Tuja" 2019

Yacht name: Tuja

Skipper: Wilfried Bielefeld

Date: Sunday, September 1, 2019 - Friday, September 6, 2019

Area: Baltic Sea, September 2019

Ship type: Oceanis 43

Day 1 - Start in Stralsund:

With great anticipation and a cheerful "cast off", we started our Baltic Sea adventure from Stralsund. The backdrop of the Gorch Fock provided the perfect background for a cozy beer and a hearty toast to start this unforgettable journey.

Day 2 - Glowe:

Our first port on the island of Rügen was Glowe. The picturesque coastal town welcomed us with warm sunshine and a relaxed atmosphere. After a wonderful day on the water, we enjoyed a dinner of fresh fish and rounded off the day with a walk along the fine sandy beach.

Day 3 - Sassnitz:

The next morning we set course for Sassnitz. The port offered a safe haven and was an ideal starting point for exploring the impressive chalk cliffs. We went for a hike along the cliffs and were impressed by the beauty and wildness of nature.

Day 4 - Gager:

Our next port took us to Gager, an idyllic fishing village with picturesque thatched-roof houses. The quiet atmosphere and traditional architecture gave the place a special charm. We took the opportunity to buy fresh fish directly from the fisherman and prepare it on board.

Day 5 - Lauterbach and Neuhof:

On the fourth day we sailed into the marinas of Lauterbach and Neuhof. The harbors were quiet and less frequented, which gave us the opportunity to fully enjoy the beauty of nature. We spent the day relaxing and swimming in the refreshing Baltic Sea water.

Day 6 - Return to Stralsund:

Our last day took us under the imposing Rügendamm bridge back to Stralsund. The return journey was marked by melancholy and gratitude for a wonderful week full of sailing adventures. The trip had not only shown us the impressive beauty of Rügen, but also strengthened the team spirit and harmonious cooperation on board.

Conclusion:

Our Baltic Sea adventure around the island of Rügen with the yacht "Tuja" and skipper Wilfried Bielefeld was an unforgettable experience. The diverse ports and beautiful landscapes of the Baltic Sea offered us a varied sailing experience. The Oceanis 43 proved to be a reliable ship that carried us safely through the waves.

The ports we visited, Glowe, Sassnitz, Gager, Lauterbach and Neuhof, gave us insights into the different facets of Rügen's Baltic coast. Each port had its own charm and enabled us to experience the local culture and hospitality.

We finally returned to Stralsund with many unforgettable memories and new friendships. The Baltic Sea adventure with the yacht "Tuja" will remain in our hearts forever and we are already looking forward to the next sailing adventure that will open up new horizons for us.
